Twenty minutes from Savannah (and a world away), the Beach Club is our coastal counterpart: a laid-back, design-forward refuge on Tybee Island, reserved exclusively for hotel guests and club members across our network.
A beach day, intelligently curated
We’ve long believed that a beach day should feel as considered as dinner reservations or a spa afternoon. We’ll handle the logistics, and the sunscreen. Transportation from Bardo will be provided, so the beach feels like an extension of your stay. Easy, seamless, and perfectly timed. A short ride carries you from the live oaks of Forsyth Park to Tybee Island’s windswept coast, where towels are already waiting, chairs positioned just so, lunch arriving at the moment you realize you’re hungry.
Getting there
No need to choose between a city hotel, a resort, or a coastal escape. Here you have all three. Savannah for culture and conversation. Tybee for wind, salt, and long afternoons by the water. But the real draw is the club itself. Designed for leisure in the old sense of the word. Time well spent, properly arranged.

Who has access
Access is the idea. our clubs are built on it—access to the beach, to remarkable people, and to experiences that are just out of reach everywhere else. The Beach Club on Tybee is one of those privileges.
Reserved for Bardo and Recess Club members, it’s a place where the Atlantic becomes part of the club itself: chairs and umbrellas waiting, towels ready, cabanas and daybeds for settling in, and food and drink arriving just when they should. The shoreline may be public, but everything that makes the day exceptional—service, amenities, programming, and the company around you—is part of the club.
Not a member? Not a problem. Book a stay at Bardo or Recess and you’re welcomed in for the day.
The night: a venue that becomes something else entirely
The Beach Club also lives comfortably in the world of gatherings. Weddings, celebrations, retreats. Some hosts choose the Beach Club as the entire stage. Others fold it into a larger Bardo weekend. Guests arrive in Savannah, settle into the hotel, then slip out to Tybee. Corporate retreats work the same way. Meetings in the city, then an evening that resets everyone’s mood. The logistics are handled, the transitions are seamless. A city hotel. A private club. And suddenly, a beach.
Coastal stewardship, built into the experience
Tybee’s dunes are protected, and sea turtle nesting season is real. We don’t treat that as a footnote, we treat it as part of what makes the place special. From “leave no trace” operations to turtle-minded lighting during nesting season, we design the experience to celebrate the coast without stressing it.
